What is an eStatement?
An eStatement is an electronic version of your statement with images available online via RBCU’s secure and totally free Online Banking site. You can view and print your statement right from your computer. Avoiding the wait for traditional mail and ending paper clutter.
When can I view my eStatement?
You can login to your RBCU Online Banking account and view your eStatement at any time! Your eStatement will be available within 2 business days after your statement cycle ends. We will send you an email alerting you that your eStatement is ready for viewing. Previous eStatements will be available to you online as well.
Will my eStatement look the same as my paper statement?
Yes, your eStatement looks exactly like your paper statement and even has a “Printer Friendly” version to make sure when you print the statement out it remains looking the same as a paper statement you would get in the mail.
What can I do through the 'View Check Images' function?
- You may select how you want view your cleared check images by sorting them by check number, amount, or date, as well as choosing ascending or descending order.
- You may now view both the front and back images of your checks at the same time.
- You can modify the size of the cleared check images you see on the screen by selecting a small, medium (default), or large image view setting.
- You may print out the consolidated check images. This is beneficial for anyone wishing to retain check copies.
May I view eStatements without signing up for eStatements?
Unfortunately no, in order for you to access eStatements, you need to accept a disclosure stating you agree to no longer accept paper statements via mail and verify your email address before becoming enrolled in eStatements.
How do I save my eStatements for future reference?
You can save your eStatements right to your computer if you wish, otherwise they do remain accessible online for 36 rolling months from the date you sign up.
Can I access my eStatement for all of my accounts?
All accounts that you currently receive a statement for (and are available for you to view online) will be available for you as an eStatement.
How do I utilize the 'Reconcile' eStatement function?
If you have checking account information on your eStatement, a 'Reconcile' hyperlink will appear at the top right of the checking account portion of your statement. Clicking this link will open an interactive reconciliation form that conveniently pre-fills all of your checking account data for the statement month being viewed! In addition:
- Your 'Opening Balance,' 'Withdrawals,' 'Deposits' and 'Ending Balance' totals are all automatically totalled at the top of the form with a complete listing of all checks that have cleared your account in that statement period.
- As you utilize the form to enter checks you've written that have not yet cleared, as well as any other ATM/Debit card transactions, withdrawals, or deposits, the powerful interactive reconciling form adjusts with updated totals.
- Once you've finished, you may print the form for your records.
Do I have to be enrolled in RBCU’s Online Banking in order to receive eStatements?
Yes. Once you have successfully enrolled in RBCU’s free Online Banking you will have the ability to enroll for eStatements by clicking on the blue [eStatement] button at the top right of your main account listing page.
Is my information secure?
RBCU uses the highest level of data encryption available. Your statement information is secure. And because RBCU eStatements are paperless, there is no longer a need to worry about your statements falling into the hands of identity thieves hoping to commit financial fraud on your accounts. Now you can feel secure without the need to shred all of your old statements.
Will I need a password for my eStatement?
The only password you need to access your eStatements is your RBCU Online Banking login and password. Once you are signed into your RBCU Online Banking account, you can seamlessly view your eStatement without the need of an additional login or password.
What if I change my email address?
In order to continue receiving the email notice that your latest eStatement is available, you need to notify us of your email address change. This can be done by contacting an RBCU representative at 612.798.7100. Or, you may use the secure email provided by RBCU’s Online Banking to send an email request for an email address update. Please be sure to state that you also utilize eStatements in the body of this message.
Can I get my eStatement notifications on my cell phone?
Yes you can. Most cell phone providers have a default email address for every customer’s existing phone number. If you enter a special email format (see list below) as your email during the acceptance stage of the RBCU eStatement disclaimer enrollment process (or, already enrolled members may choose to update the email address on file with RBCU through a phone call or secure email as discussed in the paragraph above), you can receive all eStatement notifications on your cell phone instead of through an external email address.

How long will it take to set up my eStatement?
Once you have accepted the disclosure for eStatement enrollment and verified the email address on file for you is correct, you will receive an email welcoming you to RBCU’s eStatement program. You can access you previous statements at that time. In the future, you will receive an email alerting you when your next eStatement is available.
Who do I contact if I have any problems accessing my eStatement?
If you cannot access your eStatement or cannot login to your RBCU Online Banking profile, please contact an RBCU Call Center representative at 612.798.7100. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday 7am-6pm CT on normal banking days and on Saturday mornings from 9am-noon CT.
How do I cancel my eStatement?
You can cancel your eStatement enrollment at any time by providing us with a written notice by RBCU’s secure Online Banking email, postal mail or fax at 612.798.7192. We will then remove your online access to eStatements and will begin sending your regular monthly statement via postal mail.
Can I receive an eStatement and a paper statement?
eStatements are provided free of charge to all enrolled members. If you would like to also receive a paper statement along with access to eStatements, you will need to contact us directly each month you wish to receive a paper statement. The cost for an additional paper statement is reflected on RBCU’s Fee Schedule.
