To help the Bloomington Historical Society share more history with the surrounding communities, Richfield Bloomington Credit Union has donated $5,000 toward the restoration of the Bloomington Old Town Hall (located on the corner of Penn Ave. and Old Shakopee Rd.). The restored facilities will generate increased education programs for the public.
Additionally, the credit union donation qualified for the matching challenge grant from the Charlson Foundation, offering even more funds for the worthy cause.
"I'm happy anytime RBCU can support our communities like this," said Pat Brekken, RBCU president. "Thankfully, the credit union's mission is to do all we can to give back to the communities we serve. It gives us all a good feeling to be able and willing to donate to worthy community causes like this."
