RBCU has a long standing history of support for Bridging, a non-profit with a mission "to provide the economically disadvantaged with a one-time gift of quality furniture and household items which helps to stabilize and improve their lives while effectively using community resources.” On March 6, three separate 4-person RBCU employee teams took part in the "Bedrace for Bridging" event at Buck Hill. A little over $1,500 was raised by RBCU staff, board members, and their friends and family.
Presented by Cities 97, the Bedrace was a huge fundraising event for Bridging. 100% of the registration fees and fundraising efforts of the participating teams benefited Bridging. Teams from all around the metro gathered to race down the tubing hill on inflatable queen sized mattresses. Afterwards, they enjoyed a Cities 97 Post-Race Concert to further benefit this fantastic cause.
