On Sunday, September 24, RBCU hosted a Shred-N-Go truck at its 77th Street branch location.

Besides offering members a convenient and secure way to dispose of potentially sensitive personal documents, the credit union also required a non-perishable food donation from all members who wished to take part. All food donations went to Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP). 215 lbs of food was collected.
Members shredded 2,712 lbs of documents. Plans to host another document shredding event are already under way for May, 2011.
Membership at RBCU is currently open to people who live, work, worship, volunteer, or go to school in the communities of Edina, Richfield, Bloomington, Fort Snelling, or the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. Relatives and people living in the same household with existing RBCU members can also join. ###
