| An artistic depiction of
the look of the Honoring
All Veterans Memorial |
Your credit union is proud of its support of the Honoring All Veterans Memorial to
be built in Veterans Memorial Park in Richfield. The memorial is intended to honor
the memory of Minnesota Veterans from all military branches and provide a place
for people to reflect and thank those who have served, are serving, or will serve
our country.
As stated on the memorial’s website, “Whether we honor a family member,
neighbor, friend or stranger, it's important that we remember the members of the
United States Military who protect our freedom and our lives. We know that the
arms we put around each other are in the hands of the ones who protect us all.”
The design of this important monument is such that visitors, alone or as a group,
will be able to view granite tablets that will be engraved with Veterans’ names. The
Memorial will change and grow with the passing years, as it is a living memorial
that will add new names on a continuous basis.
The names of all Minnesota Veterans are welcome on the memorial. This means
active or retired, wartime or peacetime, full-service or reserves, deceased or living,
and regardless of residency. All six branches of service are acknowledged. This
includes: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Merchant Marines and Navy.
If you wish to become a part of the Honoring All Veterans Memorial in Richfield
by having your name or the Veteran(s) name of your choice engraved on a
granite memorial tablet, the veteran in question must have received an
honorable discharge.
