Board Election Results and Scholarship Winners

On Monday, April 28th, RBCU held its 51st Annual Meeting. Once again, the meeting was a tremendous success. 704 people (657 members and 57 guests) registered at the check in tables. $20, $50, and $100 cash prizes (totalling $2600) were given away to lucky members and everyone attending the meeting received an RBCU beverage cup.

The board election winners were as follows:

• Quentin Johnson (reelected)
• Carl Nyberg (reelected)

• Mark Oliver (reelected)

Broadway Pizza (compliments of Shirley Evans) and ice cream (compliments of Jim Waters) were served.

Thank you to all members for your continued participation. The annual meeting and election is one of the primary differences between non-profit credit unions and for-profit banks. Your continued support of this process assures that your voice is heard. The credit union movement is built around active and involved people like you.

2008 Scholarship Winners

Continuing a now long-standing tradition, RBCU again awarded seven $1,000 scholarships to members that went through the application process. The scholarship categories were once again non-traditional, post-secondary, and current high-school seniors.
